- I have implemented an animated cursor to show that I am doing a
- long computation using XtAddTimeOut.
- When the lengthy computation starts, I animate the cursor, going from
- cursor 1 to cursor 2 to cursor 3 to cursor 1 and so on.
- If during the lengthy computation, no events are generated in the
- application window, the lenght of the computation is increased
- (depending on the animation rate) by about one order of magnitude.
- On the other hand, if I sit there and continously move the mouse
- while the computation is going on, the slow down in the computation
- is close to negligeable.
- Any clarification is greatly appreciated.
- Reza.
