I am about to undertake a development project to develop a control/monitoring program.  Most of the heavy development will be related to the user interface.  I have a GUI-builder (X-Designer) for prototyping but for maintainability, I would prefer to use a programming toolkit for the production version.  The requirements are that it run on SGI Indigi under Irix 4.0+ (either 4Dwm or mwm) and it would be nice if it were object-oriented as we have already started the analysis using an object-oriented paradigm

  31.   As for the language interface, we are considering gcc (we are at version 2.3.3) or AT&T's C++ Release 2.0 which is commercially available for these machines.  We are also looking at Modula-3 and its Trestle toolkit, but so far have this running only on a DECstation.  Has anyone ported this to Irix?
