  48. Half of the listed civil forfeiture cases listed involved less money
  49. than I normally carry on any given day.  Or, I should say, I used to
  50. carry after I found out that most of the thieves in DC wear blue
  51. uniforms.

  53. Food for though: be in the wrong place at the wrong time wearing the
  54. wrong clothes and the wrong skin color and it could happen to you as
  55. well.  I'd be willing to bet that not one of the people listed as the
  56. putative owners of the money 'under arrest' in these cases has been
  57. charged with or convicted of a crime that would, if the laws were
  58. written properly, justify forfeiture.
