- I have SLS distribution of Linux .99 from late December. The X windows
- package (x disks) installed fine, and I followed the instructions on the
- SLS readme for configuring to X386mono. (i.e. move Xconfig.mono to Xconfig
- and X386mono to X386). However, when I run startx, it complains that it
- can't find any of the SVGA boards. I want to run generic vga2. My VGA
- is about as generic as one can get. Are there more things is Xconfig, or
- some other configuration file that much be changed before I can run?
-
- I am very familar with various flavors of Unix, but I have only *used*
- X-windows (i.e. never configured anything for it). Any help, perhaps a
- point to the correct FAQ (I have exahusted the aid of the SLS and Linux
- FAQ's).
-
- Thank you for you time.
