- Well, I mus admit that it is a bad hack, which shouldn't be there from
- beginning. The rationale for me was to save some keystokes:

- emacs /usr/X386/lib/X11/Xconfig is longer than emacs ~/Xconfig

- Your arguments about security are very true. We (SGCS) have changed
- this, so X386 now looks in /usr/X386/lib/X11/Xconfig AND /etc/Xconfig
- (and the related *.<hostname> variants.
