- The system load can affect the timing measurements. This is fixed in
- the next release by raising the priority during the mesurement of the
- clocks. Till then, your best measurement can be made on a quiescent
- system. Once the server reports clock values that work for you, hard
- code them in your Xconfig. This has the added benfit of saving some
- startup time.

- well, it depends on your timing values which in turn determine the
- refresh rate. If the lower clock forces you to use a lower refresh
