- It probably did zap the entire thing however.

- One track on a 60MB cartridge is only ~6MB in data.

- On a 150mb cartridge its ~10MB.

- You're likely to have erased the entire cartridge. Even if you have not,
- the servo bursts HAVE been erased on part of the tape. The drive will refuse
- to read past the point where the servo is gone (that's how it knows how to
- align the head; without that it gets "lost").

- Your customer is likely screwed; there is little you can do about it now.
- At best you might be able to get back part of a track (~10mb tops) if you
- really play games with the drive and data.
