  10. I've been having loads of trouble (i.e., memory faults, segmentation
  11. errors, random hangs) porting gnu Make v 3.62.  Has anyone else tried
  12. this port?  I'm getting close to giving up.

  14. BTW - I'm trying this because I have makefiles from another platform
  15. which use the $(VAR1$(VAR2)) construct, which the standard make on
  16. A/UX 3.0 doesn't like -- yeah, it has some nice alternatives, but the
  17. other platform doesn't understand those...  So I figured I'd settle
  18. on Gnu as my standard makefile format.  So far, no luck.  Anyone have
  19. any suggestions, beside changing my makefiles to use the least-common
  20. denominator of all makefile formats?
