- Hi,
-
- Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I just did 'pstat -m' and got
- the following (puzzling) result:
-
- 2000 buffers: 0 busy, 0 wanted, 622 done, 1371 nodev
- 156 out of 256 UFS inodes active
- 19 out of 100 processes active
- 75 out of 256 files active
-
- Total memory = 20472K, currently free = 7804K
-
-
- The puzzling thing about the above result is that this is following the start
- of a 32-bit Mac session. The only active processes are the Mac OS, Finder,
- and Command Shell (besides all the unix background processes and daemons).
- "About This Macintosh" reports that the largest unused block is approximately
- 17MB. Does anyone know what might be the cause of the discrepancy? If it
- makes any difference this is on a standalone Quadra 700 with the following INITs/CDEVs:
- Disinfectant INIT, Gatekeeper/Aid, FM Backup, AfterDark, PopChar, SuperClock, Norton
- File Saver, JustClick, and Extension Manager.
-
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
