  12. How is one supposed to assign names on an appletalk network?

  14. I've tried to use my login name on my 2-node network, but the system
  15. always reports that whatever name I've choses is already in use.

  17. The network consists of a iici running a/ux 3.0, a laserwriter ntr
  18. and occasionally an se-30 running system 6.0.7 (usually the se-30
  19. is not present).

  21. The problem surfaced after the system had been set up and running
  22. for some time. Up to that point I'd always used my login name as my
  23. appletalk name; do I misunderstand something?

  25. I've got a full set of 2.0 docs, so if somebody can point me to the
  26. correct (pound or so of) pages it's be much appreciated!
