- How is one supposed to assign names on an appletalk network?
-
- I've tried to use my login name on my 2-node network, but the system
- always reports that whatever name I've choses is already in use.
-
- The network consists of a iici running a/ux 3.0, a laserwriter ntr
- and occasionally an se-30 running system 6.0.7 (usually the se-30
- is not present).
-
- The problem surfaced after the system had been set up and running
- for some time. Up to that point I'd always used my login name as my
- appletalk name; do I misunderstand something?
-
- I've got a full set of 2.0 docs, so if somebody can point me to the
- correct (pound or so of) pages it's be much appreciated!
-
- Thanks for reading!
