- I have a question regarding AUX and Filesharing on non AUX Macs.
- It seems that as long as somebody is logged in at the console of
- the machine running AUX, they can publish folders which other MAcs
- can mount using the File Server under Chooser.
-
- My question is: Is there any way to *leave* things published?
- I'd like to publish a directory and leave it published even if
- the console is sitting at a login prompt. The directory I want
- to publish is actually an NFS mount point to a drive on another
- workstation (HP). This is the easiest way for the people in our
- documentation department to transfer files from thir Macs to the
- Unix network, but in order to do it, they're always having to
- come downstairs and log in at the console so the directory
- (folder to them) gets published.
-
- We try to leave the machine always logged in, but somebody always
- logs out.
