- We bought a Vax Q-bus subsystem from Contemporary Cybernetics a couple
- years back. It did not work reliably. I called complaining, and got
- someone who sounded extremely stoned and did not know that their company
- made a Q-bus interface. They said they would call me back, and they did
- not.
-
- About six months later, I tried again. This time I got someone who knew
- exactly what the problem is. "That controller doesn't work," he said,
- "You'll have to buy our newer model." I was horrified. I asked him how
- his company could sell products that didn't work and then claim that we
- should upgrade them in order to get the level of performance that we
- specified originally. He called me an "asshole" and hung up on me.
-
- We did, eventually, have to buy a new Q-bus interface, and it did indeed
- solve our problem. I can assure you, however, that we did not buy it
- from Contemporary Cybernetics.
