- I don't know how to solve your particular situation, but in general, you can still
- connect 2 columns even after one has been deselected - at least on a NeXT.

- A faster way to arrive at your destination is to "Find" the text where you want to
- go - then arrow-key around from there. Maybe some aerobics fanatic in your group
- would like to edit while suspended from the ceiling? :>) You can also de-invert the
- text-rect temporarily . . .
