- Just about every 4.1.x application I've tried on Solaris 2 does work.
- This includes large programs like "nn", and programs which do some
- pretty complex system calls, like "traceroute".

- The key is that the application must be dynamically linked. Anything
- built with -Bstatic on 4.1.x won't work on Solaris 2.x. I don't know
- why, but apparently some 3rd party vendors do use -Bstatic, so their
- applications won't work on Solaris 2.
