- Actually, there are at least two Mac-em products available on
- workstations:
-
- Quorum has/will have two products out on SGI platforms:
- A development environment, that, from what I understand,
- allows you to compile and link a Mac app and run it on
- a workstation with a look-n-feel that matches the
- workstation's env.
-
- A full-blown emulator that also has the matching look-n-feel.
-
- Liken is a Mac-emulator from Xcellerated Systems (?) that works
- on several platforms (Sun, HP, and soon IBM). It got a good review
- in Open Systems Today a few months ago. B&W only (but color RSN), 6.0.7
- (but 7.0 RSN) and reasonable performance. I called Liken and asked
- if they were doing an SGI port and a sales guy said they were thinking
- about it. He also said it's only going to take 4 months for the
- IBM port, so if they decide to, it won't be too far away.
-
- Liken has sold many copies, and so far has avoided Apple's wrath.
