- It was canned for *one* reason: $$$. Prime was, at the time, gushing cash
- due to the privatization debt. The project was well-defined, but ran the
- risks of cannibalization of existing 50 Series PRIMOS sales, without
- necessarily producing any significant increase in revenues.

- connected to the Mips front end and u-code engine, so the compiler issues
