- Greetings and happy holidays.
-
- After an evening's worth of effort, I finally got Louie Mamakos' SLIP
- software installed and working on my mono NeXTstation at home. Telnet,
- ftp, rlogin, and NewsGrazer are all happy. Mail however, is not. The
- SLIP system I use assigns me a different IP address each time dial in.
- This means that I need another solution for mail.
-
- I have several options to solve the mail problem, none of which I know
- much about. There's UUCP, POP, an app called MailManager, and I've just
- read that SLIP commander has a "retrieve mail" function. Any information
- on any of these alternative would be greatly appreciated. I'd even settle
- for getting pointed to the appropriate books, documentation files, etc.
-
- I'd prefer posted responses for obvious reasons, but email will work too.
-
- Thanks
-
