- We've got an old, old '20 cube running (cough) NS 1.0 and want to upgrade it
- a bit. The problem is that I called up the people at NeXT and they told me
- that I can do one of two things;
-
- 1: Upgrade to the new turbo 33MHz '40 board, add a new CD-ROM (the optical
- won't work with NS 3.0), an internal floppy, and some memory. That'll let
- us use NS 3.0.
-
- Or...
-
- 2: Upgrade to the new turbo 33MHz '40 board and get NS 2.2. The optical will
- still work and the price is definately lower.
-
- The questions I have is "what do you think about these two setups?" and
- "is there a better solution?" I've got a limited budget so the price does
- make a difference (ie. the cheaper the solution the better), but I can always
- push for more funds.
-
- I'd prefer it if you could email your responses, but post if you feel you must.
- If there is an outcry (yeah, right), I'll post the collected answers.
-
- Thanks a ton!
