- Sorry, I don't have any helpful suggestions, but misery loves company, and
- I'm having problems with the same model drive.
-
- I can get it mounted fine, and can do simple operations, such as creating
- files, deleting files, etc. Whenever I try to do something more, like
- copying an entire directory tree, the system hangs. I don't get the NMI
- monitor or anything obvious, not panics, but any filesystem activity is
- completely hosed. Funny thing is, the workspace process is still fine, and I
- can move the windows around, bring them forward, etc. If I'm running
- KPerfMon, I can see that all disk activity has stopped, but the statistics
- keep being gathered, and the little graph keeps truckin' along.
-
- Have you changed any of the jumper settings on your drive to get it to work?
- Perhaps there's some kind of incompatibility between NeXT's SCSI and this
- model drive. Or maybe Fujitsu produced a flaky run of drives of this model.
-
- If anybody has any useful suggestions, I'm all ears (so to speak.....)
