  32. Thought I would post this as a public service. I noticed
  33. that some of you are   talking about dimming monitors. I am
  34. the NeXT tech for the college here, and   have the service
  35. bulletin. Here is the straight poop:

  37. They have extended the 1-year warranty on specific mono
  38. monitors to 2 years. What you need to do if your monitor is
  39. dimming is as follows: check the model   and serial number
  40. on the back of the monitor. If it is a Model 4000, the  
  41. applicable serial numbers are: AAA5XXXXXX (Anything
  42. starting with AAA5). If it   is a model N4000A, the
  43. applicable serial numbers are: AAA70000001 thru  
  44. AAA7003200.

  46. Just contact your nearest NeXT service-type person,
  47. tell him the problem, and   you should get a new monitor when
  48. it becomes available.
