- Thanks to the people who responded: Michael Westlund, John Norris, and
- Mats Bredell.
- It seems that this is the way things are supposed to be however there
- is a simple workaround (from John Norris). Create a folder with
- the same name as the server disk and put all the folders you want to
- share in that folder. Don't share the whole disk, just that folder.
- The clients never get to see anything outside that folder (no server
- Desktop or Trash Folders). The administrator still can see everything
- on the server volume.
- It was also suggested that there could be a conflict between System
- 7's Personal File Sharing and the AppleShare server. Removing the PFS
- control panels (Sharing Setup, File Sharing Monitor and Users and
- Groups) was suggested.
