  13. I am posting for a friend.  He received a Mass Microsystems FAX/modem
  14. 24/96 for Christmas.  It is small, compact, and has an owner's manual
  15. that is practically worthless.  It periodically shows a green LED
  16. and functions - maybe 1 out of 50 tries.  Most of the time it hums,
  17. does *not* show a green LED light, and gives the startup screen
  18. problems and/or sad mac faces with error codes.
  19.  
  20. Does anybody have any clues what is wrong?  We have checked all
  21. connections and software and what little the manual has told us to
  22. no avail.  Any ideas/comments/suggestions opinions on this company's
  23. product would be helpful.
