- Hi there:
-
- I have a Mac IIci at home. For the past week or so the Mac restarts
- automatically 30 secs (or so) after I turn it off via the "Shut Down" menu.
- I read the documentation and made sure the "power lock button" found in the
- rear of the Mac is unlocked: popped out and the notch in a horizontal
- position.
-
- According to the documentation ("Getting Started with your Mac IIci" pp 24)
-
- 1) if the computer is on when you lock the power, it will turn off
-
- 2) when you unlock the power, the computer will shut off
-
- Well, none of this is true in my Mac IIci.
-
- 1) If the computer is on and I lock the power, the Mac restarts
- as if I had pressed the front reset button.
-
- 2) If the computer is on and I unlock the power, the Mac
- continues working and does not shut off.
-
- Any help will be greatly appreciated,
-
