- Hopefully some one will have this info:
-
- I have just purchased a IBM PC convertable laptop, that has 2 floppies
- and also has a built in modem. There was no docs with the laptop so a call
- to IBM yielded a phone number to Datastream (as ibm no longer supports
- that laptop.sniff) Datastream said that the modem was slightly non standard
- but that they had modified procomm to work with this laptop's modem.
- how much? $40. hmmm.. Then asking about some specs they claimed that they
- had nothing for specs. Well that sounded real fishy, like they just wanted to
- sell me the program. so what I want to know has anyone gotten the modem to work.
- Or does anyone know how to get the modem to respond through procomm and if so
- what settings must be used? or througgh some other public domain comm
- package.
- just mail me please!
- thanx in advance
