- Hello,
- I am working on a database application and I am really concerened about the
- security issues. This app will run on a single machine in an important office.
- PC's are not networked so imposing a centeral control can't be done.
- I have made sure that there are no loop holes (cross my fingers :-)) in the
- app itself. But the MS-DOS itself is a major threat. I dont want the user to
- see the app files and access its directory once she quits the database app.
- For this I have (for start) made the directory and all its files HIDDEN. But
- I know this is just a low profile, low tech quick and dirty solution. Better
- solutions have to exists. I would very much appreciate any ideas or solutions
- to this problem.
-
- Thanks very much in advance.
-
- regards,
- Malik.
