- I just got a SCSI Seagate ST-01 controller and a Quantum Prodrive ELS 85
- megs. It isn't working to well. If I try running Disk Manager to format the
- new drive it just hangs and I have to reboot. (Disk Manager says the drive has
- only 3 heads. Is this correct???) And after a while, even if I'm not doing
- anything with the SCSI drive, the keyboard hangs. The computer doesn't, just
- the keyboard, lights and all. Only way out is a cold reset.
-
- I've tried all the different jumper settings on the controller. I've messed
- with the BIOS settings. I've pulled the current MFM controller. Taking out
- all of the unnecessary boards. And many other things I can't remember. I'm
- also not sure if its a problem with DOS. I have the same problems under the
- Linux operating system.
-
- Has anyone every had a problem such as this?
