- I'm trying to add a 1.44 floppy to my dad's XT clone. I have seen ads
- for "super xt/at" floppy controllers that preport to allow this but do
- they require bios support? These clones (mitac mpc 160T's) do not have
- such support.
-
- Also they have an onboard floppy controller, I checked the manual but
- didn't find an easy way to disable it. What happens if there are two
- controllers?
-
- I tried to convince him to put in a new motherboard like I did, but he
- wants to spend less than $100 total.
-
- Any advice is appreciated.
