- I have a Western Digital Caviar 2200 HD...but it didn't come with documentation
-
- I could really appreciate someone telling me what to put in the CMOS for it.
- The drive says it is 989 cylinders, 35 sectors per track, 12 heads, but that
- doesn't equal 212MB formatted.
-
- I don't know what to put in the CMOS for write precompensation, and I don't
- know what to put into the CMOS for the landing zone.
-
- Also, I'm wanting to configure this as the master drive on my system.
- There are 3 sets of pins that can be jumpered. They are MA, SL, and CP.
- I don't know which to put jumpers on. I have assumed MA is used to indicate
- that the drive is the master drive, and SL is used to indicate that there is
- a slave drive present. I have no idea what CP is.
-
- Any help would be eternally grateful (for a day)
- thanks
