- I have a Viewsonic 5+ moitor. Recently, the thing has been going
- haywire. The monitor will intermittantly change the size of the screen
- , mind you, it doesn't flip screen sizes back and forth, but all
- of a sudden, the screen will be one size, and then boom! it will
- change size. I then readjust the screen size with the knobs at
- the bottom of the monitor, and later (it varies from 5 minute to 3 hours!)
- it will flip back?! I have also noticed that recently the upper
- left corner of the screen is slightly dimmer than the rest, and
- I mean just enough to be noticeable. I don't know why, but I feel
- like there is noting REALLY wrong with the monitor, as these
- problems occur frequently enough to be concerned, but not all
- the time. Could it be dust? I really need an honest opinion
- from some of you mintor wizards on what could be wrong here.
- I am convinced through diagnostics that it is the monitor's fault and
- not the omputer or video card. I want to save myself as much money as possible
- and I don't want to take it in if i can fixz it myself. Any help
- would be appreciated.
