- I just put a 387/40 Mhz math co in my computer (386/40) and in the process
- I found that I could have used a 33MHz chip instead. All it took was
- setting one of the jumpers to asynchronise (sp?) operation for the 33
- to work with a 40. But why bother, maybe you haven't priced out the
- math-co's lately they're pretty cheap now and the cost difference is
- almost neglible. I paid $79 + tax for mine two weeks ago which might
- have been maybe $10 more than the 33MHz chip.
- I'm just glad I didn't know how to set this up when the 33's were $125
- and the 40's were around $200 or more...
