  11. You have an RLL, not MFM, drive.  You need an RLL controller with the
  12. same track format as the Victor.  It is extremely unlikely you will find one.

  14. Buy a new RLL controller and do a hard format (WD or Adaptec).  You will 
  15. lose all data on the drive, but have the raw storage available.

  17. I have had really bad experience with RLL, because the format is more demanding
  18. of the media and defects which were insignificant with MFM become hard errors.
  19. I would strongly recommend doing a media scan using one of the disk
  20. management utilities to find any defects not in the defect map for the drive.
  21. Run it for several days to be sure.
