- Carsten.Wedemeyer%bbs@parrot.in-berlin.de (Carsten Wedemeyer) asks about
- any documentation on opening the hp48sx.
-
- Carsten:
- If you have ftp access, look at seq.uncwil.edu for a file called
- "openhp48.Z" in the directory /hp48/desc. It is in compressed format, so
- you will need to use Unix "uncompress" (actually an alias for "compress
- -x") or an eqivalent on another system. If you are unable to get it
- there, I will post it to this newsgroup (but it's a bit long). Maybe
- I'll just post it here anyway :) . The file contains instructions on how
- to take the hp48s(x) apart as far as the outer case goes. Getting the
- keyboard or the screen assembly apart is not discussed because it would
- take considerably more work.
- I will attempt to mail it to you as well (allthough my mail server may
- barf at your address with a "%" in it...).
- Credit for the original opening (as far as I can remember) goes to
- David Holmes, not myself. I took Dave's ideas and customized them a bit.
- (Thanks David).
