- We are considering a conversion of our system from standard /etc/passwd
- file to the /.secure/etc/.passwd (shadow password) format. HP's
- implementation of C2 security has some additional overhead including
- rewrites to disk and ram when files are deleted which we don't really
- need. I'm just wondering if anyone has implemented the shadow password
- system on the HPs without using HPs "Trusted System" approach.
-
- One other thing, with the "Trusted System", how much overhead is
- involved with all the auditing and disk-rewriting is there?
