- In article <JTHOMAS.92Dec24133916@navajo.nmsu.edu> I write:
-
- jim> We are installing a new 877 that came preinstalled with some version of
- jim> 8.02 . When we attempt to telnet to it ... the connection hangs.
- ...
- jim> I've ftp'ed 100MB successfully between the 840 and the 877...
-
- Well, ftp'ing only works from 840 -> 877.
-
- In fact, after doing a trace when asked to by HPSL, it seems the 877 loses
- a message. The 840 ACK's up through the last byte it receives in sequence,
- many times, but the 877 refuses to listen and retransmits starting one
- message too late, over and over, until the connection is dropped for lack
- of success.
