- I recently inherited a 3b2, when I boot, life is grand until I get
- to the part where 'console login:' is supposed to appear. Basically
- it dont appear, tha machine hangs. I've tried booting from the Essential
- Utilites disk 1, and the floppy key, neither one seems to want to boot.
-
- My question is, Is there a way to get a bootable disk to try and ans
- determine if my floppy drive is dead?
-
- I have been getting NVRAM sanity failres because the battery was dead,
- I replaced the battery, but still get the errors. I read through the
- FAQ, but got very little help in there. Perhaps someone has a better
- idea on what is happening. I have not been able to get into firmware
- mode either, most likely due to the NVRAM failure?
-
- Thanks in advance for any help
