  13. lost by the time it got to me thru comp.sys.apple2/info-app.

  15. I'm not exactly on internet, but bitnet, which can connect to
  16. internet thru ftp and telnet.

  18. So on my site there are two commands, ftp and telnet.

  20. I type for example ftp ftp.apple.com
  21. and in a few moments I know whether I have a connection.
  22. At the prompt for user I type "anonymous"
  23. For password, I type my internet address "st2975@siucvmb.siu.edu"
  24. Not the quotes, what's inside the quotes.  For anonymous login,
  25. password can be anything, but internet address is recommended.

  27. I get email by subscribing to a listserv.  Email sent to comp.sys.apple2
  28. and info-app is placed in my local mailbox as a series of files.  If I
  29. don't read them or discard them, they disappear in about 2 weeks.
