- Well folks, I think I have just burnt a chip in my A3000.
- Symptoms:
- Communication ports started to act up.
- Re booted the machine and the whole shabang went dead.
- No hard drive and no floppy drive.
-
- What I think happened is I got a static charge through my Par. port,
- and fried a chip somewhere.
-
- Questions:
- What chip could it be?
- How much money is required to replace it (if it is a chip)?
- Can I repair it myself ( if no soldering is required )?
-
- I have been waiting for lightning to strike, and it did!
- But to happen when a I week off to play around with what I want,
- can only be a bummer..
