- Today I received a flyer from BSC Germany (The people
- who make GigaMem and Oktagon amongst other things) They
- say that:
-
- 'Due to a bug in Commodore's Operating System Kickstart
- 3.0 (Rev. 39.106) the mousepointer sometimes refuses to
- appear on the workbench after using Oktagon's Login screen.
- Therefore, the Login Screen option has now been disabled
- (factory default setting) as a workaround for the bug. A
- newer Betarelease of Kickstart 3.0 has already corrected
- this bug. An update is possible by replacing the two Kick-
- start ROM's from Commodore'
-
- Note, these are statements made by BSC, _NOT_ by me! It's
- in Issue 8 (jan 93) of their 'Inside' flyer. Could anybody
- from Commodore please comment on the above statement. Is it
- true and is there a fix? If so, how and where do I get this
- fix for my (KS 39.106) A4000? And what other problems are
- fixed, or being fixed? And I assume the upgrade will of
- course be free of charge?
-
- CYa, Paul

- Season's Greetings...
