- Well, I did some more checking and on the box it came in there is
- a sticker saying:
-
- Matshushita Kotobuki
- Electronics Industries Ltd.
- 2131 Minamikata, Kawauchi-Cho,
- Onsen-Gun, Ehime 791-03
- Japan
-
- Does this say anything to you? Also there is a driver supplied for
- SM-DOS with PAN in the name. Also the soundplayer supplied for DOS
- starts up with a line saying:
-
- CD PC-listener version 1.10
- Copyright (C) Matshusita-Kotobuki Electronics Industries Ltd.
-
- Looks like it just might be Matshushita CR-501 (Panasonic/Technics)
- after all.

- That's my problem. Calling from the Netherlands to the US continent is
- _very_ expensive. :-( I'd rather be able to fax or get the answer in here.
- It seems I am _not_ getting all messages, as I haven't seen the one you
- replied to yet. So anybody having useful info, please e-mail it to me, so
- I am sure to get it. I'd follow your advice and post in alt.cd-rom but I
- can't. My host doesn't carry it and using ucbvax won't work since that
- translates the - to . [and thus alt.cd-rom would have to be entered as
- alt-cd-rom and would end up alt.cd.rom :-(] Anybody connected to alt.cd-rom
- able to forward my original message and asking for replies by e-mail to me?
-
- Thanks!
