- I don't think it comes down to whether or not the software has one bug, but
- how many bugs, and what are the severity of said bugs? I remember around
- this time last year, playing the game "Might and Magic III" and finding typos
- all over the place (one of which made you end up with an answer to a number
- puzzle that was something like a factor of 12 higher than intended) and
- another that made it impossible to win the game, until you called the company
- and they gave you the information... I'm using the example of a game because,
- well, it IS the one I'm most familiar with, and one can easily see that the
- game was not playtested to the end... it's the glaring examples that seem to
- make it all seem like a much worse problem than it is...
-
- Oh, and by the way, there are bugs in OS/2, Windows (and maybe even in DOS)
- that people complain about... but ya gotta realize... this is no game, and
- it's no spreadsheet... it's an OPERATING SYSTEM... we're talking a whole new
- level of programming.
-
- And to note another point of yours... 'they want it delivered yesterday'...
- Well, yeah... I do want it delivered yesterday, considering that they
- publically announced its release months ago. ;)
