- I've run into a strange problem trying to get a 3Com 3C507 card to
- work with PC-NFS (version 4.0a). First off, here's the ethernet
- topography.

- Now, running NCSA or CUTCP, all three PC's can see the Sparc 2 NFS
- server and everything else on either side of the smart bridge.
-
- When I try to run PC-NFS, the 3c507 #1 card and the wd8003e #1 card
- can see the Sparc 2 (and the rest of the world). The 3c507 #2 card
- can't see anything on the other side of the smart-bridge. There
- aren't any NFS servers on the right side of the smart-bridge to test
- whether the 3c507 #2 card can see anything on its side.
-
- The smart-bridge is being used solely to keep internal IP packets on
- the right side of the bridge from being seen on the other side.
-
-
- I don't understand why PC-NFS wouldn't work with the 3c507 card and
- does work with the wd8003e card. I know the 3c507 card is good since
- it works fine with NCSA Telnet. Is it possible that the 3c507's NDIS
- driver or Sun's NFS-NDIS.SYS driver is at fault? Has anybody
- experienced a similar problem?
-
- I have a dozen 3c507 cards on the wrong side of the smart-bridge, I'd
- really like to have a software solution to this problem...
