- Hi,
-
- I have been trying to install a HP IIP with PostScript Cartridge on Sun IPC
- without any luck. Currently my HP IIP is connected to serial port B on IPC.
- Before adding in the PostScript Cartridge, I can print simple text files and
- IslandWrite files to this printer. Although it takes about 2 minutes to print.
- This means there is no communication problem between my HP and /dev/ttyb on IPC.
- After adding in the 2 Mb memory board and PostScript cartridge, the printer stop
- printing !! If I lpq to check the status of my printer, it says active, but the
- jobs size is 0. But the job size is not 0. I saw the <on-line> panel is on,
- and the light of <form feed> is blinking. The display panel of HP IIP says
- <PS Busy>. About 1 minute later, everything is back to normal, the display panel
- says <MP Letter Ready>, but nothing come out !!
-
- I think something need to be done in /etc/printcap file. Any input will be highly
- appreciated. Thanks in advance.
-
- Happy Holiday !! :)
