- I don't know what the operating environment and what type of file were when
- the above situation happened.

- I do notice the similar symptom when printing Unix ASCII files using
- LJ4's autoswitchiner mechanism. It correctly identifies the file as a PCL
- file. However, the output would be like this:

- line2
- line3
- ...

- The number of lines you can see depends on how fast they reach the right margin.
- Any characters falling out of printable area cannot be printed. This is
- why you see blank papers. The characters are there, but located out of right
- margin!

- This is because Unix text file contains line-feeds (LF) only. A CR is
- needed to bring the rest of lines in line with line1.
