  25. I don't know what the operating environment and what type of file were  when 
  26. the above situation happened.

  28. I do notice the similar symptom when printing Unix ASCII files using
  29. LJ4's autoswitchiner mechanism.  It correctly identifies the file as a PCL 
  30. file.  However, the output would be like this:

  33.            line2
  34.             line3
  35.                           ...
  36.  
  37. The number of lines you can see depends on how fast they reach the right margin.
  38. Any characters falling out of printable area cannot be printed.  This is
  39. why you see blank papers.  The characters are there, but located out of right
  40. margin!

  42. This is because Unix text file contains line-feeds (LF) only.  A CR is 
  43. needed to bring the rest of lines in line with line1.
