- I asked some time ago on this newsgroup requesting specifics of the HPFS filing
- system. Since then I've had some basics posted to me by Bruce O'Neel (sp?) (ta
- muchly) and I've also sent a request to the AsiaPacific DAP co-ordinator.
-
- From what I got from the DAP person, the specifics are in a microsoft
- publication which IBM cannot give to me due to the politicking going on at the
- moment.
-
- So what I really need to know are ways and means to contact microsoft. Are they
- on the net? Is there someone in particular that I should talk to? Remember, I
- live in Australia so 'phoning is not (usually) an option. If someone could help
- here it would be much appreciated.
-
- The reason I need the internals is (a) to write a HPFS filing system for MS-DOS
- and (b) to write one for Linux. If anyone has done either of these before
- (filing systems that is) then their input would also be much appreciated.
-
- Thank _you_ for your time,
-
- Simon
