- Generally, I have everything working fine with Arcnet and Token Ring
- with Novell's requester and Extended Services.
-
- There is one problem, however.
-
- If I use IBM's NetBIOS, that is to say, don't put in the BINDINGS=NETBIOS$
- and ADAPTER0= etc. stuff, on the Token Ring system it is possible for me
- to access the Extended Services database from remote clients and from
- DOS/WIN programs on the *same* machine.
-
- However, once I change to Novell, it is no longer possible to access the
- database on the *same* machine, although the remote clients still work
- OK (with Novell's NETBIOS instead of the LSP, of course).
-
- I'm not happy with this because neither LSP nor ODINSUP support Arcnet.
- Any ideas? My conclusion is that something is wrong with Novell's
- NetBIOS that it doesn't allow local clients.
