- Thanks to a lot of help, my Apple LaserWriter IINTX is working great
- from OS/2 and Dos machines on our Lan Server Network. To help others
- avoid HOURS of piddlin' around, here's the receipe
-
- 1) Install the IINTX on the server via COM1 and create similar prn object.
- 2) Create an alias for the printer in Lan Requester and direct to LPT2
- (for example)
- 3) Have a mode line in the server's startup.cmd "mode com1 9600,8,N,1,
- TO=ON"
- 4) Open the printer object on the server and right mouse button over
- the com1 icon on the OUTPUT page. Select settings and make sure
- handshaking is OFF (This is what killed me). I also bumped the
- timeout to 59, but I'm not sure if this is essential.
-
- By doing this I'm able to print Word Perfect's printer.tst from any
- machine, and print documents of at least 12 pages (as far as I've
- tested).
-
- Thanks to all who helped!!
