  28. Well, "the same stuff" is WRONG. I've installed my XGA-2 about a month
  29. ago and had the same problem, but I found the solution by accident.

  31. If you've already installed the SP when you install the XGA-2 card, 
  32. reinstall the display drivers. Some of the MONxxxx.DGS in the
  33. XGA$DMQS directory are different, allowing 1280x1024 50 Hz. Just
  34. reinstall the display drivers from the Service Pack and DIFINST will
  35. give you this option:

  37. 16" 325x244mm 50Hz 1280x1024; 75, 44Hz 1024x768; 60, 75Hz 800x600;
  38. 75Hz 640x480
  39.  
  40. Just choose this and reboot - voila there it is. Just make damn sure
  41. that your monitor is up to this, otherwise you might damage it...
