  11. I have some image files I downloaded which have extension .jpg
  12.  
  13. The person uploading those files claimed that they are gif files. When I try to
  14. view them using pmgif (from hobbes), I get an error message saying that these are not gif files. I suspect that they are in jpeg compressed format. Could 
  15. somebody tell me how I can view these files?

  17. 1. Do I have to convert them to gif format? If so, is there a program on hobbes
  18.    which does it?

  20. 2. Are there any other viewers that view these files directly?
