- I have installed the OS/2 2.1 beta's multi-media support. It included Sound
- Blaster 2.0 support. When I open the Digital Audio Player or the MIDI player,
- it tells that it failes to open the Digital Audio device.
-
- My SB is on DMA1, IRQ5, A220h......
-
- I thought I might have a "ghost" conflict with the non-existant second serial
- port on the serial card that has my 16550AFN on it.....(it supports IRQ'2 4
- and 5, though there are n chips on the board for the second port.)
-
- I have removed this card and it changed nothing.
-
- The Sound Blaster works just fine in DOS/WinOS/2 sessions. The drivers
- included with the 2.1 beta don't TRAP 'D my system like the original ones did
- (with the 2.1 beta).
-
- I did notice that the MMPM/2 install of the Sound Blaster has the DMA
- selection box "shadowed out". It let me set the IRQ and address, but not the
- DMA setting. Could this be a PS/2 "feature"......he says, grasping at straws.
-
- I would like to get MMPM/2 working as it was under the GA+SP combination.
- Anyone have any ideas?
