- RJV>was printed and I searched to find the old copy of thes file. When I
- RJV>rebooted, there was this file called lpt1 and it is undeleteable. I
- RJV>tried the drag to a folder and delete the folder but I am not allowed
- RJV>to move the file. If I try to delete it, it says it \dev\lpt1 Sys0003:
- RJV>the system cannot find the path specified.
- RJV>If I try the gnu rm, it says rm:can't force write permission for c:/lpt1:
- RJV>no such file or directory.

- You'll be able to delete this file from DOS, but only with a utility like
- Norton. DOS won't allow you to delete a file called LPT1 (nor PRN), so what I
- did was to load Norton's Disk Editor (having booted DOS), and change the 1st
- character of the file name to the deleted file character (can't remember its
- ASCII number). That fixed it.
